Week 1 of Ocean theme.
However, we had some extra Space theme projects to complete and added a spring Flower project for the art show. Thus. the cross over Celestial Garden in the Sea.

Hello Spoede Pre-K Families,
We enjoyed our last week of our Space theme and started to incorporate our Ocean theme. We worked hard on a special project April Showers Bring May Flowers for the Fine Arts Festival, Can't wait for you to see it. Hope you can make it to the Fine Arts Festival. This week we will get into our Ocean Theme.
Monday- Started work on or special rainbows for our art project for the fine arts fair. Added red thumb prints to make lady bugs on the Turtle Pot for the Fine Arts Auction. From just after lunch recess, we Sheltered in Place with all of Kindergarten During a real Tornado Warning prior to Early Release due to incoming stormy weather. Once the Shelter in place wa lifte, we went to carpool dismissal from the gym due to a very hard rain. The Pre-K students were very brave and showed no fear during the big weather event. Storm drills have really helped when it came to expectations of the real thing.
Tuesday- We finished coloring the rainbows on our special project for the fine art show. We started adding rain to our pictures with a water bottle filled with blue paint using a drip technique to look like raindrops. We also painted on our Turtle Pot, adding spaint stamps on the legs and back for the Fine Arts Auction. Made build a rocket ship out of shapes and black back ground paper for outer space. Then we added shiny star stickers. Enjoyed music with Mrs. Nutt. Learned new songs, used a stretchy movement band as a group and played instruments learning about beat and rhythm.
Wednesday- Continued to work on our April Showers bring May Flowers artwork by putting on cotton ball clouds. Painted telescopes for our Space and Ocean Themes. Did not take a lot of pictures on this day.
Thursday- Made posters for Dr. Koenig's Assistant Principal Celebration Parade. Lots of shiny clothing and bright clothing, along with some Chiefs Jerseys. Dr. Taylor Koenig is a huge Taylor Swift fan. We watched the parade from the hallway outside of our classroom. All of the school was lined up in their grade level wet lab areas. Dr. Koenig walked through each grade level gathering cheers and chants. We completed our April Showers bring May Flowers artwork by adding flower buttons. Only a few more touches by Mrs. Roberts are needed to make the artwork ready for hanging on the wall. What a Great project. Thank you Mrs. Roberts.
