Spring Themes - Week 2

Hello Spoede Pre-K Families,

Happy Easter and Happy Passover, for those who celebrate. We had a lot of fun with the spring themes this week.

Monday- Dot Painted a Caterpillar. Made Chicks coming out of a Decorated Egg. Made Fold over Symmetrical Butterflies with Q-Tips and pastel colors. A former student donated some Play-Doh along with some very cool toys and accessories, The kids really liked playing with the Play-Doh and new items.

Tuesday- Sponge painting of cherry blossoms. Finished up Easter Wreaths and finished up our Chicks coming out of eggs. Watched the wonderful Musical Concert Presentation of Commotion in the Ocean, performed by the 3rd Grade. Music was canceled so no pictures from music this week.

Wednesday- Sponge painted cherry blossoms onto a trees. We also completed a Spring I spy activity. We finished up some sponge painting of individual cherry blossoms for our Pre-K Growing Tree bulletin board.

Thursday- Sponge painted bunny rabbits with different shades of blue and purple and added purple and blue sprinkles. We used Play-Doh and cut out our cherry blossoms to put on our bulletin board trees.

Friday- Art with Ms. Tara. We finished our spring pictures by adding flowers to our grass backgrounds that we painted last week. We used dry watercolor pencils to color the flowers, and then added water with a paint brush to make the paint turn into water colors. Then we glued the flowers onto our grass background we painted last week. The final product was beautiful with each one. unique. Lots of cooperative and creative play for our Friday Fun Free Choice!

LPA ANNUAL SPRING FAIR

The LPA is having our annual Spring Fair later this month and we are hoping you can attend.

"Spring Fair is on Saturday, April 25th at LECC from 10am-12pm. This is a FREE event for all LECC students and their families. There will be a gymnastics bus, DJ, balloon twister, face painter, Creve Coeur Fire Department and Police Department, Book Mobile, crafts, food trucks (Travelin' Tom's Coffee and Dippity Donuts) and MORE!
